The owner-managed "Vologodskiy Les" group employs 80 people and produces 150 TLm/month of planed timber, mainly profiled timber intended for construction and 400-450 t/month of wood briquettes mainly from pine for the Russian domestic market. Despite the crisis in 2009 and the ongoing currency crisis, demand is good and growing steadily.
In Russia, the "Topol" group of companies is the undisputed market leader in the manufacture of children's furniture. Topol's most important production facility in terms of sales is located in Elektrogorsk, about two and a half hours by car east of Moscow.
