Sustainable technologies, digitisation, networking and automation are the topics of woodworking and wood processing and thus of LIGNA 2019 fair, which will take place from 27 to 31 May 2019 at the Hanover Exhibition Centre. LIGNA 2019 offers a complete overview of market offerings every two years. The majority of manufacturers in the wood and forestry industry are represented here. Here new networks are established and discussions are held with the relevant experts! Only at this event, primary and secondary industries jointly present themselves to a professional audience.
The Magna Expo Mueblera Industrial (MEM Industrial for short, 17-20 Jan. 2018 in Mexico City) has what it takes to establish itself as the leading trade fair for wood processing in Mexico. The European umbrella organisation Eumabois and the VDMA support Deutsche Messe AG, which took over the trade fair a few months ago.
At the moment there are again letters from the International Fairs Directory based in Uruguay in circulation, with which companies are cleverly lured into a paid and expensive subscription. The entry form attached to the letter is designed as if only a correction of an exhibitor entry for a specific trade fair - here: LIGNA Hannover - must be carried out. In fact, however, a closer look reveals that the entries in a trade fair database are subject to a fee.
The VDMA has once again applied for a joint stand at the Timber Processing & Energy Expo in October 2018 in Portland, Oregon for the coming year. The registration deadline is already in July this year!

Unfortunately, there will be no federal participation at the upcoming MEDEX trade fair (15 - 18 February 2017). Too few German companies in the woodworking machinery industry showed interest in participating in the German joint stand. The Italian companies will present themselves at this fair next year.
The online presence of our companies, especially abroad, is becoming increasingly important. However, the enormous financial and personnel costs that each individual company would have to incur for this would ultimately only lead to a weak presence. Together we want to find a way here at VDMA to become visible to potential customers worldwide and to establish contacts. We are therefore working together with our companies on a new portal that will be especially useful for less experienced customers.
The 10th meeting of our Marketing & Sales Working Group will take place from 09:00 to 15:15 at the invitation of Würth Industrie Services in Bad Mergentheim. Among other topics, the upcoming LIGNA 2017 will be the main focus.
