The planned market exploration trip to the Baltic States from 6 to 10 May 2019 was approved by the Ministry with six participating companies. Companies that make a last-minute decision can register until 15 April. The local AHK will organise meetings with potential customers for each participant.
In autumn 2019, the Russian government adopted a detailed strategy for the development of the Russian timber industry until 2030. This includes forestry, primary processing, the production of veneer and wood-based panels, furniture production, but also pulp and paper, cardboard and hygiene articles.
In cooperation with the German-Baltic Chamber of Commerce (AHK) and the Fraunhofer Institut Produktionsanlagen und Konstruktionstechnik IPK, the VDMA Fachverband Holzbearbeitungsmaschinen (German Woodworking Machinery Association) is organising a market exploration trip to the Baltic States from 6 to 10 May 2019 for suppliers of machines, automation solutions and IT applications for the wood and furniture industry.
Sustainable technologies, digitisation, networking and automation are the topics of woodworking and wood processing and thus of LIGNA 2019, which will take place from 27 to 31 May 2019 at the Hanover Exhibition Centre. LIGNA 2019 offers a complete overview of market offerings every two years and the majority of manufacturers in the wood and forestry industry are represented here. Here new networks are established and discussions are held with the relevant experts! Only at this event will primary and secondary industries jointly present themselves to a professional audience.
